Into the Heart of Hope

In December of 2002 America began to learn about the devastating effect AIDS was having on the continent of Africa. The statistics were staggering and continue to be: 6500 Africans die every day due to complications from HIV/AIDS. There are currently 12 million orphans of HIV/AIDS in Africa.

"What will you tell your grandchildren you did while an entire continent withered away from AIDS?"1 Compelled by this simple question, a group dedicated to telling stories of hope responded. In August 2004, The Power of One traveled to Eldoret, Kenya where as many as 1 in 4 is HIV+ to share a story of hope.

The Power of One believes that individuals can make a difference, and Into the Heart of Hope is a documentary about individuals standing up to the global pandemic of AIDS and defeating it one person at a time.

Into the Heart of Hope will change how you view what one person can do to make a positive difference in the world. It will put a face and a name on those fighting the AIDS war. And it will challenge you to answer the question that will be posed to us in the future: what did we do?
